The author writes:

We all know the classic mistake of assuming that Rhode Island is a an actual island, but did you know that there isn't actually a Rhode Island? I mean, there is no island in the world which is actually called "Rhode Island"? Neither in the state itself, nor anywhere else in the world, the closest you get is "Rhodes", a Greek Island off the coast of Turkey.

So, lest any of my reader be secret millionaires, if you are planning on buying a private island, perhaps "Rhode Island" might be an interesting thing to name it!
