The astute reader will notice that there are exactly seven consistent permutations of character to body that are consistent with both the dialogue in this strip and the mind-swapper's known limitations. Some of you are no doubt arguing in the forums over what the canonical arrangement is.
The ambiguity was intentional.
The next week will be seven strips, each of which follows chronologically directly from this one, and each of which assumes a different contradictory arrangement of the minds among the bodies. Each of them forms a distinct canon, which contains all strips before and after this week, but will provide totally different interpretations to many of these events.
Seven stories at the same time.
My plans are to do this again, so that I'll be telling forty-nine stories at the same time with every strip I write. I can't quite manage 343 stories, though. That's too many.
