This strip might seem a little far-fetched and perhaps a little over-the-top and melodramatic for what was once a gag-a-day strip, but it's based on something that once happened to me.
Except that instead of my father, it was my pet marmot.
And instead of a rampaging horde of medieval zombies in an armoured personnel carrier, it was the teenaged son of the lady at the end of the drive in his step-father's car.
And instead of dying, there was a clean escape.
Very rooted in reality, I'd say.
