As can be seen from this strip, Lenny is playing a chess game via the Internet with an anonymous opponent.

What is not so obvious is that the anonymous opponent is a real life opponent whom I've selected anonymously using my online chess client. This unknown person - in all probability someone who has never even heard of my humble comic - is therefore now making decisions that will drive the plot!

This could lead to some interesting developments, especially considering Margaret is, unbeknownst to Lenny, currently trapped inside his chess game as the white queen.
