The author writes:

Reading SRoMG #3910: "Enough is Enough, Take Two"'s commentary reminded me in a vague, conceptual sort of way of something that happened with YouTube Poops over time. Some very early or early-styled poops, sometimes labelled "SpaDinner" or the like, relied on a very limited set of resources, including the infamous Zelda and Mario CD-I games' cutscenes, along with the episode "Mama Luigi" of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. These sources became derided among fans of the media form, and essentially their very use could sometimes be grounds to consider a video a low-effort, low-quality affair. After this, some more talented and/or experienced YTPers came up with the idea of a style of video which used these sources but distorted and over-edited them to the point of being surreal, deeply interesting trips of nonsense - and did indeed require quite a bit of effort.

All of that is to say, while there is an extremely low minimum amount of effort required to make a "pudding pops" or "Linguistics with Liz" or whatever other source strip(s) become(s) a fad in the future, that doesn't mean you can't make something impressive, or at least unusual, with those very same strips - as this entry is intended to demonstrate. Is it very funny? Probably not. But it's Something.
