Strip by: Rippy Ripster
Carmelita Fox: If I could find that stupid raccoon...
{Sly is crouched down, sneaking around behind her}
Carmelita Fox: I'd put him behind bars for a long, long time... He isn't getting any "love" from me!
{Sly suddenly turns around, standing up a little more, shocked by her words}
Sly Cooper: !!!
{In the last panel, he has disappeared. Garfield enters and Carmelita turns around}
Carmelita Fox {to Garfield}: Have you seen Cooper around here?
{Garfield points in the direction that Sly went}
Garfield: He leapt out the window, dashed through the back yard, scaled the fence and raced down the alley
{Text at bottom-right corner of strip: Happy 20th anniversary, Sly!}
The author writes:
When I saw the strip for today, which was the 20th anniversary of Sly Cooper, and came across the last line, I suddenly realized that it would work way better with Sly than it did for Liz. After all, why would Liz parkour away from the house just because Jon went shirtless? And thus my homage begun.
As for why Sly is sneaking around and why he escapes when Carmelita says she'll never "love" him, or what "love" means in the context of this strip, well, that's up to you. I haven't really decided what the case is here.
The artworks of Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox are not my own and are used as a vehicle for parody.
Original strip: 2022-09-23.
