Strip by: Kavviyenta

Strip 1:
SFX: Bring!
{Garfield wakes up and, uncharacteristically, turns off his clock calmly}
Garfield: Ah, six A.M. Time to rise and shine
{He is about to get up}
Garfield: First, a light breakfast of juice and toast, then some jogging
{Only to return to sleep}
Garfield: HA-HA-HA! That was a good one

Strip 2:
Jon: What time is it, Garfield?
{Garfield runs to the clock and takes a look only to find himself facepalming}
Garfield: What am I doing? I can't tell time

Strip 3:
Garfield {reading a letter}: Dear Garfield, what is your favorite all-time film?
Garfield: It's "Old Yeller"
Garfield: I love movies with happy endings

Strip 4:
{Jon stands in front of two jars in thought}
Jon: Now where could Garfield be?
{Jon looks in the cookie jar}
Jon: He's not in the cookies, and he certainly wouldn't be in the doggie biscuits
{As he walks away, Garfield pops out of the biscuit jar, spitting}
Garfield: It's a good thing I can't read
SFX: Poo!

Strip 5:
Garfield: What a night! Was I ever on a roll!
Garfield: I must have had seventeen curtain calls!
Garfield: According to the shoe count

Strip 6:
Jon: On the count of three, go for the doughnut
Jon: One...
{Garfield snatches and eats the doughnut}
Jon: TWO!
Garfield: Cats can't count

The author writes:

Garfield has proven he can read, count, and tell time when he's by himself. And yet, unsurprisingly, he's pathologically lying to Jon otherwise. The driving question is if Jon was ever aware his cat was pretending at all.
