Lubaf: Hey, Garfield, it's me, Lubaf. This will be my 200th strip, so I figure I should put in some effort and do something special. What do you think?
Garfield: Why start now?
Lubaf: Huh, good point.

The author writes:

By my count, right now*, I have 190-some-odd strips, with at least a dozen more in the meta-buffer. So I figured I would follow in the grand tradition of milestone spectaculars: do something that's both stupid and easy to shoot out. (I'd do a clip show, but that would probably be too high-effort and high-concept to be used in something so eminently disposable as a webcomic mini-milestone celebration.)
