It's surprising sometimes how an archival error resulting in you seeing the wrong third panel can make a strip so much funnier.

I'm not necessarily talking about this strip, mind, because I did this on purpose and this joke is probably either too dark or too played out for most of our readership, but it's something that could theoretically happen.
