Garfield: I dunno, it may be a clue that could point us toward the true fate of Lyman... but what do I know.

The author writes:

I made an early version of this submission ages ago, the joke being that the wad of blackness Odie gives to Jon is actually the mustache of Lyman. (Yes, I know Lyman's mustache is brown, not black, but it's funnier this way. Feel free to interpret it as you please.)

The original version of this had Garfield saying a rather boring and linear retort. I changed it up to sound way more interesting.
