The author writes:

Seeing strip #3261 I thought Garfield could use a little more rhyme in his replies. I was tempted to make a strip using 'Iambic pizzameter', but I'm too lazy for that.

As a side note, this is a Hawaiian pizza; whatever your feelings on pineapple, do note that he has his with butter, horseradish, anchovy paste, lard and toaster crumbs. (Anyone who gets that reference gets a cookie. With pineapple.)
