Odie: We are eating Arctic Circle candy!! We found it in a jar marked "forbidden candy"!! It is tasty Pokey Garfield!!!
Garfield: Oh no!
Garfield: Now you are both going to die!!!
Jon: Bother!
Odie: No!!!
Odie: Pokey Garfield why will we die???
{Garfield is now holding a gun.}
Garfield: Because no one touches my stuff!!!

Unsurprisingly, it only took me a few tries to find a comic where Pokey acts in a very Garfieldian way. The impending double murder was just a nice bonus.
