Garfield: The yard is a good place to have a picnic.
Garfield: Unless, of course, we run into a colony of ants.
Ants: Oh we're the ants who ruin your dinner! We're always here to mess up any day!
Ants: When we're around every camper gets thinner! Cause if we get the chance we will take your food away!
Ants: Oh we're the ants who plunder and steal. We leave each camper hungry and distraught
Ants: When we're around you won't get a meal. Cause if we get the chance we will eat the stuff you brought.
Ants: Oh we're the ants who pick your baloney. We're always very devious and shrewd.
Ants: We'll steal the cheese off your macaroni. Cause if we get the chance we will run off with your food.
Ants: Oh we're the ants who leave you starving. We clean you out no matter when or how.
Ants: When we're around don't bother carving. Cause if we get the chance we will take away your chow.
Ants: Oh we're the ants who leave you hollow. We're on call. We stay up every night.
Ants: When we're around you don't get a swallow. Cause if we get the chance we will not feed you a bite.
Ants: Oh we're the ants who make you diet. You may think you can eat your lunch and split.
Ants: When we're around don't even try it. Cause if we get the chance we will mop up every bit.
Ants: Oh we're the ants who took your salad. We didn't even leave an IOU.
Ants: When we're around your friends are invalid. Cause if we get the chance we will gobble up your stew.

The author writes:

I saw today's comic, and I couldn't help but think of the old Garfield and Friends episode "The Picnic Panic." So made the ants sing the lines from the ants in the original episode. Garfield's line in the second panel is also taken more or less from the episode.
