Jon: Ave... sum Jon Arbuckle. Poeta sum, et haec feles mea est, Garfield.
Garfield: Ave. Sum Garfield. Feles sum, et hic poeta meus est, Jon.
Jon: Noster finis unicus est vos oblectare.
Garfield: Pabulor.

The author writes:

Translation of transcript:
Jon: Hail, I am Jon Arbuckle. I am a poet, and this is my cat, Garfield.
Garfield: Hail, I am Garfield. I am a cat, and this is my poet, Jon.
Jon: Our sole goal is to please you.
Garfield: I seek food.

Latin obviously does not have a word for "cartoonist", causing me to go for "poet" as it makes sense for Roman culture. Jon's final speech bubble became incredibly cramped as "Noster finis unicus" does not practically fit on one line.
