{A Garfield strip in the shape of a hypercube}
Jon: There's a great big beautiful world out there.

The author writes:

A hypercube is a theoretical shape in the fourth dimension (which, contrary to popular belief, is not time). The idea is that if a cube is made up of six two-dimensional squares rotated within the third dimension, a hypercube is made up of eight three-dimensional cubes, moved through the fourth. If you're trying to imagine where they're all going, one is on the inside, one on the outside, and six in between in a way we three-dimensional beings cannot conceptualise, just as a two-dimensional being couldn't conceptualise moving a square through the third. Got all that?

Truth be told, the images were supposed to actually be distinguishable when I conceptualised this (ha!). However, I couldn't figure out how to get Blender to make the things look right, and just kind of gave up. Much like most non-mathematicians like me have given up trying to get the fourth dimension.
