Strip by: Josep Nollette

{A mother and her son Ricky are walking.}
Ricky: Look, mommy, that guy's giving some books away!
Mom: Ricky, no! I don't want you to fraternize with any of that socialist Bible-thumping... OHGODNO
{Ricky comes back with a change of clothing, losing his baseball cap}
Mom: RICKY!!!
Ricky: I had no idea, Nagasaki was a major bastion of Christianity in Japan up until 80 years ago today!

The author writes:

[Ed. note: I thought very, very hard before deciding to publish this strip. The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are serious issues that must not be dismissed lightly. I decided to publish this because it is not intended to trivialize the bombings, but educate the reader on them, and especially on Christianity's history in Nagasaki.]

Original Extra Fabulous Comics strip: #60 ("Probably Not How It Works").
