Slowpoke: We regret to inform you of what is indeed a great tragedy today. A beloved video game franchise just had the servers for its last main game shut down.

The author writes:

In 2021, the servers for all the LittleBigPlanet games except the PS4 version of LittleBigPlanet 3 were permanently shut down due to hackers. A few days ago in 2024, Sony decided to indefinitely shut down the servers for that game as well, which probably means they’re never coming back, and the chances of another LittleBigPlanet game being made are extremely slim. Sigh…
