Strip by: KelpTheGreat

{In the first three panels, Sluggo, Nancy, and Lucy are each holding maps of their neighborhood, with a different path outlined on each map}
Sluggo: I think this is the best way to get candy around the neighborhood.
Nancy: I think this is the best way to get candy around the neighborhood.
Lucy: I think we should find the one house with the best candy and go back again and again in goofy costumes.
{Nancy is holding/wearing an assortment of eclectic clothing}
Nancy: I need to borrow some of your old clothes, Aunt Fritzi.

The author writes:

I'll admit, I was never very aware of Nancy until Manny remixed a strip, leading to me finding out about Jaimes' phenomenal work, and subsequently bingeing her entire run on the strip. I had previously read some of the older strips when I was growing up, as it ran in my Grandma's local paper, which I would read when we visited her. It was cute and charming, but not nearly as gut-bustingly funny as the current Nancy. So, thanks to Manny for introducing me, and expect to see several more Nancy remixes from me!

This strip is just a recolor, fixing a couple of errors in the original. Besides the egregious error of getting a character's skin color wrong (these strips for comparison), on the map Lucy's holding, the section of road that's on the right side of Lucy's speech-bubble arrow was colored white instead of gray.

In the process of recoloring this, I noticed that virtually every character in every strip is colored with a shadow on the side of their face, making their ear and part of their face darker than the rest of their face. It didn't look weird until I noticed it, but now I can't un-see it. I tried coloring Lucy's ear to be darker like in every other strip, but it just looked weird, so I left it the same color.

Original Nancy strip: 2018-10-31.

Inspired by SRoMG strips 273, 355, 2298, 2944, and 3696.
