I was bemused the first time I went into a bookstore and saw among the usual labels for biographies, crime, fantasy, etc.: "Paranormal Romance". Not just a few books, but a whole section of bookshelf, floor to eye level.
Not that I have anything against it existing. If people like it enough to pay money for it, and people want to write it, that's fine.
