The author writes:

"Shaft" is one of the best-known blaxploitation films of the 1970s. This is perhaps in part due to its Oscar-winning theme song, performed by Isaac Hayes. After all, "Foxy Brown" may have been a fun little movie, but without lyrics describing her as a cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about, what's there for people who haven't seen the movie to recognize?

(Not to over-explain the joke, but the title of this comic comes from a song on Hayes' breakthrough album, "Hot Buttered Soul.")
