{Cueball is giving a presentation to an unknown audience, consisting of three large graphics}

Graphic 1:
WRESTLEMANIA VIII
(April 5th. 1992)

Wrestling PPV advertised as the potential retirement of Hulk Hogan, who was scheduled to face off against Syd Justice.
--------------
* Original plan was for Hogan to face off against Ric Flair (current WWE belt holder)
* Flair was pitted against Randy Savage instead
* Their match was not the main event, despite having the belt on the line.
* Hogan/Justice ended in a disqualification.
Hogan has lost most of his star power by this time.
Audience was getting fed up with him.

Graphic 2:
GARFIELD
(April 5th, 1992)

Famous newspaper comic authored by Jim Davis; the strip published on this date was longer, owing to it being on a Sunday.
--------------
* Strip consists of Garfield dancing on the fence, dodging produce thrown by an angry audience.
* He is coaxed into returning on stage by the crowd.
* He believes this is because they want to see more of him.
* In reality, it was because they wanted to nail him with more produce.
Garfield is routinely depicted as being a big orange jerk with an ego.

Potential conclusion:
Jim Davis read the dirt sheets for Wrestlemania VIII, knew in advance how the show would end, and made the Garfield strip as a pre-emptive stab against Hulk Hogan and the WWE.

Offscreen Audience Member: This is the dumbest theory I've ever heard.
Cueball {arms off to the side for emphasis}: But it explains everything!!

The author writes:

This might potentially be my shark-jumping moment.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Never fire up Photoshop after 4:30am because you're bored.
