caption: Little-known Star Wars facts #61

{A trio of Jawas are preparing to cover a sign reading "Mos Eisley" with a sign reading "Niima Outpost". On a dune in the background is a Jawa sandcrawler with a Lucasfilm Ltd logo on the side. The front Jawa is wearing a pass with the word "Crew" on it.}

caption: In order to save money, the Jakku scenes were actually filmed on Tatooine.

The author writes:

Another interesting Tatooine tie-in is that they filmed scenes with Jabba the Hutt playing Niima the Hutt, wearing a gold "Niima" pendant and a goatee, but those were cut from the final film to make sure there were scenes left to include in the extended Blu-Ray edition.

Drawn in Krita and Inkscape.
