Strip by: Ian Boreham

{Three anthropomorphic rats in military attire pose for the camera, holding their weapons, against a jungle background.}

caption: The Rats of NAMH

The author writes:

Ratoon. One of the great rodent/lagomorph Vietnam war movies, along with Full Metal Rabbit, Born on the Second of February, The Jackalope Hunter, The Green Leverets, Apocoypulypse Now, and of course, Mickey Mouse in Vietnam (an actual film, made by Adam Savage's actual father).

While looking for previous instances of this idea, I came across the Tunnel Rats and also the Rats of Nam Yum, just to confuse matters.

Another thing I came across in researching this strip was the fact that the movie "The Secret of NIMH" was called that because the book's name, "Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" was likely to lead to trademark trouble with the Frisbee corporation. Wha...?

These Rats of PoMH were supposed to be quick to draw in B&W, but hatching took its toll again. When will I learn?

Drawn in Krita and Inkscape.
