terrier: Aye, I'll have a wee dram! Only the guid stuff, mind!

The author writes:

This joke was instigated by Tim Mason, and elaborated upon by the Comic Irregulars, who share culpability. I have chosen the Scottish spelling, "whisky", over the Irish/US spelling "whiskey", for thematic consistency. Arnott's is an Australian biscuit (cookie) company, and one of their popular lines is the "scotch finger biscuit", a sort of buttery shortbread biscuit.

Vat's all, folks!
