{A US military officer at a press conference.}
Officer: The Department of Defense would like to put an end to the Roswell conspiracies once and for all. Mr Gray?

{A grey/gray-type alien speaks alien gibberish, and a machine translates it into English.}
alien: The Roswell incident was nothing to do with us. It was just an atmospheric monitoring balloon.

The author writes:

It seems that the Roswell Army Air Field public information officer described the balloon remains as a "flying disc", which may have encouraged the UFO crowd. The official story put about was that the remains were of a weather balloon. This actually was a cover-up: they have since admitted that it was a nuclear test surveillance balloon, but that was a secret at the time.

I was puzzled to read in the Wikipedia article about RAAF involvement in the Roswell incident, until I realised that stood for Roswell Army Air Field. To Australians, it usually means Royal Australian Air Force.

I wonder if anyone is going to be offended by the random colour swatches I used to simulate the officer's decorations?
