{The graveyard}
Oliver: The vampire! Here it comes!
Oliver: Urgh! I've got it!
[SFX]: Punch!
Holly: You can't choke it! It's undead!
[SFX]: Stab!
Oliver: I don't need to. I only need to hold on to it until...
{Dawn breaks}
Oliver: ... the sun comes up. It's disintegrated.
Holly: Oh no!!! Aaaahhh! Oliver! Your neck! It got you. It bit you! AAAAAAHH!
Oliver: What? This? It's an old scar. I've had it forever. Haven't you ever noticed it before?

The author writes:

Holly waited half the night in a graveyard to impale the vampire instead of just coming during the day while it was asleep because after she found the vampire logged into Facebook on her computer she was afraid to let the vampire live one more day. She couldn't kill it in her apartment because she already had too many noise complaints from the neighbours and didn't want to get evicted. Everything else makes perfect sense, too.

Also I bet there are really good drawing management programs that automatically greyscale all your colours when the sun goes down, and allow you to keep track of people's original skin colours for when it comes back up again. Microsoft Paintbrush isn't one of them, but if I had one of those I wouldn't have such a solid excuse for inconsistency.
