This strip is a reference to the game Terraria. "The air is getting colder around you" is the text that the game displays when Skeletron Prime is going to spawn naturally (without a spawn item). However, Garfield remains relaxed and feigns being worried because Skeletron Prime is the easiest of the Mechanical Bosses and doesn't pose a very significant threat.
