The author writes:

well it's been a few hundred strips since the last Changefield strip*, and what's a better way to continue the changes than by not continuing the changes

Amendment: I may or may not have forgotten some Changefield strips don't have "changefield" in the title so I thought the last one was #3836 when it was really #4417, a mere 54 strips earlier (and only 15 strips earlier at the time of submission).
