The author writes:

Today's strip is actually the first comic I ever drew. I did this as an 8-year-old, during a class when I should have been doing subtraction. I'd long forgotten about it, but found it hidden away between some old photos in an album that had been sitting gathering dust for years, until I finally decided to clean it last month.

Having uncovered this treasure, I realised I could actually work it into the Postcard story, with only some minor tweaks to the ongoing storyline, which I've slowly been applying for the past few weeks. Observant readers might have noticed that Asia vanished entirely three weeks ago, and Lenny became an elf two weeks ago, and then last week the sky became that shade of green you only get in boxes of crayons.

And now, today, it should all make sense! As the comic explains, obviously.

The sky, Lenny, and Asia will all return over the next few weeks, as the events depicted here resolve naturally.

Okay, Asia might stay missing for a bit longer, since it does make the entire story with the Brasebys make a whole lot more sense.
