Readers who are curious about what I was doing in Antarctica a few weeks ago will be fascinated to hear about a new project of mine.

I have been sponsored by a Chilean bank - whose name will be revealed later - to cross the entire continent of Antarctica, alone and unaided, in less than four weeks.

This is rather less than the current record which is... well, it's never been done before at all.

Anyway, the official announcement won't be for some time yet, but I wanted to reassure you all in advance that I've built up enough of a buffer to cover the entirety of the trip. See you on the other side!
