The author writes:

I was reading about The Rant on TV Tropes when I realised just how silly it is to have accompanying text with a webcomic. I mean, the whole idea of a comic is that the combination of art and text gives you limitless freedom to represent anything you want within the confines of a single, well-defined boundary. Yet some comic artists then go on and add a text commentary to each strip. What is the point of that?

Frankly, if you can't convey everything you want to convey in the comic itself, you have no business making comics.

I would stop posting rant text with all my comics from now on, but unfortunately when I coded the site I included a data field for any additional comments I might, on the very odd rare occasion, want to make, and it turns out that it doesn't support an empty field for some reason. I'll have to have a look at the code one day and figure out why.
