title: The Comeback of the King

{Aragorn is speaking to Eowyn.}

Aragorn: Milady. I cannot give you what you want.

Aragorn: You know I'm from the line of kings, right? I'm already way older than your stepdad. Ew...that's kinda creepy, Eowyn.

Eowyn: Oh yeah? Says the guy with the elven fiancee who's already nearly three thousand years old!? That's creepy! And she's, like, your lotsa-greats aunt!

Aragorn: Nuh-uh! She's my first cousin lotsa times removed. Cousins is OK.

{Aragorn to himself as he departs later.}

Aragorn: Huh! Way to be a gold-digging social climber!

The author writes:

Some aspects of LotR might be better not to think too hard about, and are wisely glossed over in the movie adaptations. Aragorn would have been older most of the humans he encounters. Denethor only beat him by a year.

I wonder what Cate Blanchett thought about playing Liv Tyler's granny?
