Holly: Hi Delkin!
Delkin: High!
Holly: How are you?
Delkin: Gooed. Yew?
Holly: A-OK. ... uh. Why are you smiling like that?
Delkin: ... know re...swan.
Holly: Wait, you are speaking in homophones again, aren't you!
Delkin: Know! Yew no eye wood knot dew ... sew!

The author writes:

As I'm seriously non-native with English, puns and such are not my strongest suit. Then again, Delkin is making the stuff up as he speaks, so he shouldn't seem that competent either. I'd imagine speaking in homophones is a pretty darn hard trick to master. Finnish has none (none that I can think of that aren't homonyms - we write nearly exactly phonetically), so it's hard for me to test.
