Why the name Square Root of Minus Garfield?

One of the more popular Garfield parodies is Garfield Minus Garfield. We liked the mathematical nature of the title. And in mathematics the square root of a negative (or "minus") number is what's known as an imaginary number, which is cool because we are presenting imaginary Garfield strips.

I have an idea for a Garfield mash-up! Can I send you a strip?

Sure! Please include your preferred author name or nom de plume so we can credit you, and the date of the original Garfield strip you are parodying. You may also send us some brief biography information, an image, and a link for your website if you like. Send strips to the e-mail address at the bottom of this page. Please save them in PNG (preferred) or GIF format, not JPG.
