One of the more popular Garfield parodies is Garfield Minus Garfield. We liked the mathematical nature of the title. And in mathematics the square root of a negative (or "minus") number is what's known as an imaginary number, which is cool because we are presenting imaginary Garfield strips.
Sure! Please follow these guidelines to help make our life easier:
You may also send us some brief biography information, an image, and a link for your website if you like. Send strips to the e-mail address (dmm@...) at the bottom of this page.
If you need help finding a good strip to mash, here's a nice interface for searching Garfield strips.
And here's a reasonably good freeware font for doing new dialogue: Garfield at SoStars free font archive.
If you send us a strip, you might not hear from us for several weeks. We have a large backlog of submissions. Check the statistics page to see how many strips have been added to the database buffer queue already. In additon to those, we will have anywhere up to roughly the same number of submissions sitting unsorted in our mailbox! We do appreciate all submissions, but it will take some time for your submission to be processed and more time until it's published.
We probably did. Unfortunately we're a bit disorganised and we tend to let the e-mail build up a backlog and then attend to a chunk of it at once. We do let you know when your submission is accepted and added into the buffer queue, but this may be some time after you sent it.
It varies a lot. I try to do it at least once a month, but sometimes it can be a couple of months, particularly if the buffer is really full and there's no particular urgency to add more strips to it.
