The author writes:

If you do not count the title box as panels, the Life explosion is of much more usable size, and instead of contrasting the life-challenged story with eternally oscillating blinkers, the strip quickly decays into nothing - reinforcing the story. To support this straightforward and nearly sensibly applicable approach, I also changed the Life dimension from strange mutational depth into simple panel per step story dimension.

Oh yeah. I also know I've made quite a few strips with essentially the same idea of re-pacing the strips. Sorry. That just happens to be fun. I'll probably do it again.

Original strip: 2001-10-28 again.
