Strip by: Muchacho1994

Strip 1:
{Garfield is sitting on the table, something no cat should ever be allowed to do}
Jon: Garfield, guess what? I'm saved!
{Garfield slaps Jon hard}
SFX: SMACK!
Jon {rubbing his cheek}: Why did you do that?!
Garfield {raising a finger}: This isn't a Chick Tract, Jon. This is a comic strip.
Strip 2:
Jon: Garfield, where do your leg stripes go when you stand up?
{Garfield slaps Jon}
SFX: SMACK!
Jon: That's it! You are grounded grounded grounded grou--
Garfield {interrupting, having already memorized the grounding speech}: --for 193726193701829 tranquilities! This means no {long list I don't feel like typing} and furthermore! Go to your room now! Wah! Yeah, I get it.
Strip 3:
Jon: Well, Garfield, the world's constantly changing, and--
{you ought to know by now what happens}
SFX: SMACK!
Jon: Why did you do that?!
Garfield: Shut up right freakin' now, or else this strip will never ever get published.
Strip 4:
Jon {singing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", with poorly-drawn music notes indicating that he is indeed singing}: Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
SFX: SMACK!
Jon: You broke my cheekbone, you Queen hater!
Garfield: You're doing it wrong. Like this. {he continues the song, though it's debatable over whether Jon can hear it or not} Caught in a landslide, no escape from re-al-i-ty.

The author writes:

So, the backstory behind this is that I went to GoComics at exactly 1:10 AM EST (when the site updates) and saw this boring strip. I then realized that it would have been better if Jon had actually sung something. Then multitudes of ideas for something better than today's **** filled my mind. Despite me losing the Garfield font, I immediately went to work making new strips.

It's a sad, sad day in Garfield history when ANYTHING you make out of the original strip is better than the real thing. Unless you write a strip that's completely gibberish. But that would be stupid... on second thought, perhaps maybe that's not such a bad idea.
