Jon: Every morning I wake up and think...
Jon: "Today is a new and exciting day!"
Jon: Then I see you.
Reality Checkpoint: They don't call me "Reality Checkpoint" for nothing, pal.

The author writes:

Reality Checkpoint is a lamp-post in the middle of Parker's Piece, a green space in the city of Cambridge, England. Those words have appeared on the lamp-post since about the middle of the 1970s, painted on or scratched into the paint or even on a little plaque, despite the council's attempts to remove them. I think it is the only lamp-post to have its own Wikipedia article (the one about the Cincinnati Street Gas Lamps is shared by over a thousand); it is one of about one thousand lamp-posts in England that are listed buildings.
