T-Rex: So, we missed the entire World Cup.
T-Rex: Sorry, France!
T-Rex: But now for the first time we are using Video Assistant Replays here on the Dinosaur Whiteboard. Roll the tap!
{replay}
Utahraptor: {dribbling the ball} I shall pass the ball to my team mate!
SFX: STOMP! {T-Rex stomps on the human}
Referee: PENALTY!!
T-Rex: Whut? Why?
Utahraptor: You stomped my team mate in front of the goal!
{Utahraptor's team mate is a red smear on the pitch}
Caption: BACK IN THE STUDIO:
T-Rex: As you can see, that attacker clearly took a dive!

The author writes:

While researching this strip[1], I discovered that the Video Assistant Referee system used in the World Cup for the first time had some controversial moments. The first occurred during the group match between Australia and France, granting France a penalty that many critics say should not have been granted. France scored from the penalty, ending up winning the match 2-1.

Discussing this with my friends, we determined unanimously that Australia wuz robbed. If the penalty that should never have been awarded was not awarded, Australia would have tied with France, the eventual champions. On this basis, we assert that Australia are rightfully equal first in the tournament and should share the title of World Cup Champions.

[1] All good writing involves research.[2]

[2] And a lot of bad writing, too.
